A Trip To Daiso

Japan’s popular 100yen discount store had its opening here in Pearl City a few weeks back and this weekend we finally made the trip to visit it’s "Everything is $1.50” shelves!
Though there was bit of a buzz about the place I was still surprised to find a roped off waiting line with people being ushered in as customers left.
Once inside there were people running around checking out the wares. Really it wasn’t much different from the Marukai One Dollar stores, but something about these places always puts one in a bargain seeking mood and Ii came away with a bunch of stuff: containers, gloves, markers, and my friends got paper goods, stationary, kitchen goods and toiletries.
If I thought the line outside was a wait, the line to purchase the stuff extended all the way to the back wall! The cashiers worked as fast as they could but it sure was a good thing we were all in line at the same time to “talk story” as we waited!
If the gloves I bought work out, looks like I'll be making this my regular stop as I go through them like nothing at work!
