Aliiolani Elementary School

I attended Aliiolani Elementary School in the early 1970's, and in 2008 or so, I went back to the old school and took these nostalgic pics. LOTS had changed since then, but it still brought back the memories I spent there! Transferred over from by languishing FLICKR page.
Below: "A" Building. This housed classes for 3rd and 4th grade.
Below:"F" building which had 5th and 6th grade (also some 2nd grade)

Kindergarten Classrooms

Cafeteria

Basketball Court where the old Auditorium once stood.

View into Palolo Valley

Parking where the old Music Building once stood.

They called these Rooms 13-14, where I had 1st and 2nd grade.

JPO Room.

The school Library where I spent many recesses and after-school hours!

Health Room

Main Office

Such a fun, nostalgic trip down memory lane for me. I recently walked by the school a few weeks ago and was surprised by how much MORE it had changed. Now completely gated and fenced in on all sides to keep intruders out, Ah, such a sad sign of the times.

Mililani Restaurant Usual

Just grabbing an early lunch at good old reliable Mililani Restaurant, with my usual: Teri Meatball plate Lunch with Macaroni Salad!!
As it was early there was lots of free space, but that didn't last long! Soon ALL the tables were filled and it was time for me to go!

Chilly Leahi Walk

A Chilly and Blustery late afternoon walk this evening. A very sombre and lonely vibe as most people opted to stay in and keep warm, but I really loved it!
Times like these I feel like the whole town is for myself and my thoughts!

Mililani Visit

While friends were  shopping at the Mililani Shopping Center, i took the opportunity to walk  through the neighborhood, listening to my trusty Hikaru Nishida CDs. At some point the sun got to me so I whiled away some time at the bus stop, just chilling listening to the music and relaxing....
Actually been awhile since I had the time to make it back here....Still a perfect way to spend the day!

Kilauea District Park

 Kilauea District Park.
Back when I was attending Kaimuki 7th grade (when it was still called "Intermediate" not "Middle" School), we used this field for our Flag Football etc, games, but looking at it now, seems fenced off from the school behind. Wonder if they still use it?
